Life Defender’s Pastor’s Breakfast

November 11 @ 9:00 am - 10:30 pm CST

Life Defenders Pastor’s Breakfast – The Pastor and Abortion
Compassionate Shepherding in a Disposable Culture

There’s no question about it, abortion is an unpleasant subject and a tough one for pastors to address. For many in our congregations, abortion is a deeply personal issue that invokes painful memories and feelings of guilt. Others view abortion as a political or a divisive issue and one the church should therefore avoid. The confusion surrounding this issue raises a crucial question: Is it possible for the pastor to be a bold voice for the unborn while at the same time nurturing a redemptive community for those who’ve had abortions? The answer is, yes, when approached as a Gospel issue.

On Thursday, November 11th, Right to Life of Southwest Indiana will host a pastor’s breakfast from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at The Cathedral 5000 N First Ave., Evansville, IN 47710 where Mike Spencer will bring clarity to the role of the pastor and the church ministering in an abortion culture. Mike pastored churches for 23 years before founding Project LifeVoice. He travels extensively throughout the United States and beyond equipping pastors and students in churches, on high school and university campuses, and serving as the keynote at pro-life banquets and conferences. Mike is a much sought-after communicator who has a passion to equip others to speak to the often emotional and divisive issue of abortion in a way that is both winsome and compelling.
