DESCRIPTION:The Hope Center has a few programs coming up in February…The first one is a partnership with United Way on Wednesday February 17th for all Edwards County residents…We don’t have a specific time at this time but if you call Sherry Wells at 618-599-8697\,Sherry will reserve you a box. The first 50 to sign up will receive a box.\n\nOn February 20th at around 8 am the Hope Center will have its monthly Feed the Family at the Hope Center located at 23 West Cherry in Albion. We will have food\, clothes\, personal hygiene products and misc. items to give away. This is open to Edwards and surrounding counties. We will practice social distancing the best we can. We appreciate CNB helping us this month.\n\nIf you would like to help support the Hope Center we are collecting  Shoes and Boots\, Coats and Jackets at this time. SUMMARY:Isaiah 117 House Event
DESCRIPTION:Isaiah 117 House exists to surround children with love from the time they are removed from their homes until foster placement is found. Currently\, when a child is removed from their home\, they must leave their possessions and their family and go to the Department of Child Services office to wait for foster placement. This process can take hours up to days. We believe that these children are inadvertently being sent a message that they have done something wrong. We want to change that message. We want these children to know that they have done nothing wrong\, that this is happening to them not because of them. We want them to know they are not alone. We believe the best way to do this is to show them love in both our words and our actions. We strive to meet their every need during this traumatic time. We want them to be allowed to pick out new clothes\, new shoes\, new backpacks\, a new stuffed animal\, play\, eat\, laugh\, etc. We want to lavishly love and change the message. We believe by changing the message we not only improve their understanding of themselves\, but also change the trajectory for that child’s future. If you would like to learn more about the mission of this exciting new ministry\, please join us on Sunday\, February 28 at 3:00 pm at the Grandview Civic Center located at 1311 Main Street! The founder\, Ronda Paulson\, will be sharing her story and be available for questions.
