SUMMARY:Martin County Cancer Patient Services Event
DESCRIPTION:Martin County Cancer Patient Services was formed in February 2023. MCCPS is a nonprofit organization.  “Nobody fights alone.”  Our mission is to assist people impacted by cancer\, who reside in Martin County. Services provided include: gas cards\, transportation\, food supplements\, and medical equipment.   Our services are funded by grants and donations.  September 2023\, which was National Childhood Cancer Awareness month\, we named 16-year-old Kenley Shaw our Martin County Cancer Patient Services – Student Ambassador for Martin County.  Kenley\, a Junior at Shoals High School\, is a cancer survivor.  She is eager to help others within our community.   On December 18th\, Kenley will be accepting a check from the Martin County Community Foundation to help jumpstart the Martin County Cancer Patient Services – Student Ambassador Program.  The check will be presented at 3:30 pm at the Martin County Community Foundation office located at the Martin County 4-H Fairgrounds.  We would like to invite you to this special occasion to help spread the word.  Kenley will be present for a short interview and to answer any questions following the check presentation.
